Well, it's taken longer than I planned, but here are some basic concept pieces that might help you guys out. Using the photos that Spyder sent me, I came up with the following below.
First, here is the tank idea that was taped to the side of your Jeep chassis.

Using that as a starter, I came up with something along these lines. It's to be angular, and keep a low profile as well. This is a version where there is no turret up top, but rather just room for guys to shoot out the sides and such with regular paintball markers.
Then, I decided to give you guys a rotating turret up top. However, seeing that a large cannon-style barrel would only be for show (probably), I opted out of the large cannon barrel and just placed two mounted paintball barrels, similar to our tank when there is no Nerf launcher up top.

Please know that these drawings are VERY basic, and when a design is chosen and perhaps some more drawings are sent to me on what you actually want, I can give you guys a better visual idea of what you might have in mind.
I hope this helps, and looks cool. Thanks,

Thats right folks, Team Fugazi has started construction on our first official paintball tank. We are very excited about this adventure. Construction will take the entire winter with constant participation. With the help from our sponsors and our close friends we hope that this tank will be an amazing addition to local, regional and national events. A special thanks to our sponsor: Don "Badger" Grubish for his designer assistance and experience in this area. We will post photos of progress so all our readers can have a sneak pre-view. Thus far we have completed the tear-down process. We now have a clean slate to start with. The tank will be a replica of a 4 wheel US military Commando LAV series tank (we don't want to give exacts, leave some sort of surprise). We rely heavily on advise of others, and love to pick the brains of those who have experience in this arena. So please feel free to drop us an email if you have advise or experience you would like to share. |
